Since the 1990's, the Macdonald-Kelce Library underwent a series of interior renovations. The Writing Den is now a media room, and the many yellow couches are (sadly?) gone.
Beginning in the mid-nineties the Macdonald-Kelce Library began to use automation technology to make cataloging and circulation services faster and easier. Note the card catalog drawers in the background, a now outdated way of book cataloguing.
